Foundation Purpose
The Kiwanis Club of West Palm Beach Foundation, Inc. was established as a corporation not for profit under the statutes of the State of Florida on June 28, 1966.  It qualifies as a 501(c)(3) tax exempt charitable organization.  Its stated purpose is "...for the benefit of persons residing in and around Palm Beach County, Florida or such other areas as the Board of Directors may approve, in connection with their health, education and/or welfare."

The Foundation is the charitable fundraising and funding arm of the Kiwanis Club of West Palm Beach, contributing $300,000 a year to the community.  It has been enabled in its efforts because of generous endowments and contributions from individuals and other organizations.  In addition to other funding activities, the Foundation spends $250,000 annually on college scholarships to 80 students exhibiting financial need.

Foundation membership is limited to the members of the Kiwanis Club of West Palm Beach.  A board of directors elected by the Kiwanis membership governs all activities of the Foundation.
