The Kiwanis Club of West Palm Beach Foundation, Inc. offers one of the largest scholarship programs in Florida awarding over $200,000 per year. The Foundation has distributed more than $3.4 million in scholarships since 1966. Each scholarship is renewable for all 4 years of college provided the student reapplies each year and maintains minimum requirements. The total value of the grant, if renewed, is between $10,000 to $16,000 over 4 years.

The Foundation is committed to academic excellence. The goal is to help students who carry at least a 3.0 grade point average; have demonstrated good citizenship and community responsibility; and who have financial need. Awards vary in size depending on the cost of the school and the student’s financial need, but generally range from $2,500 to $4,000 annually. All grants are made without discrimination as to age, race, color, religion, gender, national origin or disability.  To be eligible, students must plan to attend college full-time. High school students must currently live and attend a high school in a designated geographic area of the county.

Currently we have 70 recipients receiving a total of $235,750.00.  They attend 25 different colleges and universities throughout the country.  We have 15 freshmen, 13 sophomores, 14 juniors, 14 seniors and 15 in graduate school.  These students attended 20 different public or private high schools within our defined geographic area.  Many were Key Clubbers in high school and have joined Circle K at their schools.  All participate in multiple community service activities.
